Magnifying Benefits Stuart Miles

I know that we all have difficult things that we have to deal with as believers. However, today I want to remind you of your Kingdom benefits. When we focus on the benefits and give God gratitude for them, that will give us fuel to keep our spiritual fire stoked.  In Psalm 103:2-5 King David writes:

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Aren’t you glad there are a lot of perks available for us as citizens of the Kingdom? Let’s look at them one by one:

He forgives all my iniquities. The good news is God is not mad at you! Because of the blood of Jesus, God has forgiven all sins past, present, and future!  Jesus paid it all, and even though we are not perfect, God is not holding our sin against us. Now, that is certainly something to rejoice about. Hallelujah!

He heals all my diseases. Isaiah 53:5 says “By His stripes, we are healed.” If we believe that He forgives all iniquities, why do we find it so hard to believe that he heals all diseases? Jesus did say that Healing is the children’s bread (Matthew 15:26). He wants you well! Bless God!

He redeems my life from destruction. Whatever person or circumstance the devil has tried to use to destroy you, God promises to turn it around and work it for your good (Romans 8:28). You will be better off than you would have been if the situation had not happened.  If you believe God’s Word is true, even the bad things that have happened to you have redemptive value, and God can use them for His glory. Praise Him!

He crowns me with lovingkindness and tender mercies. Psalm 63:3 says “[His] lovingkindness is better than life.” His loving kindness compels Him to give us what we don’t deserve. Lamentations 3:23 says, “His mercies are new every morning.” His mercy compels Him to withhold from us what we do deserve. Thank You, Lord!

He fills my mouth with good things. God is your provider. His name is Jehovah Jireh.  He will always come through and take care of your needs, and you have no need to worry. Jesus promised, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Therefore, you don’t have to fend for yourself. God is so good!

My strength is renewed like the eagle. Isaiah 40:31 says, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” As you go forward on your spiritual journey, if you will stay connected to the Father, He will continually enable you to be energized and strengthened to do whatever He has called you to do (Philippians 4:13). He will enable you to run your race well and finish strong.  Glory to God!

So as you can see, we’ve got a benefits package in the Kingdom that is second to none.  We certainly have somethings to bless God for. When we choose to remember the benefits, we can tap into the promises of God, receive all that He has for us, and live the abundant life Jesus died to give us.
