WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT

Today I want to encourage you to keep walking by faith in spite of what you are experiencing. Sometimes the things that are going on around you can keep you from focusing on God, His promises, and the reality of a spiritual realm that is more real than what you perceive with your senses. Therefore, hang on to your faith! Ignore what you hear and see if it contradicts the Word of God! Walk by faith, not by sight! Check out my poem below. I hope that it will encourage you to continue to fight the good fight of faith.

I WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT

I cannot trust what my eyes may see,
What my ears may hear, my emotions tell me.
What my senses relay are deceptive as can be.
The Word of God is the truth I decree.

The circumstances I find myself in
At face value tell me I cannot win.
It’s only the devil, he’s at it again.
If I believe him, I’ll fall into sin.

For God’s Word declares He will protect
Spirit, soul, and body; I am His elect.
Satan, my life you will not affect.
God has made me a promise, and I will collect.

It’s not God’s will for me to go down,
Things may look bad, but I hear a sound.
The angels are coming, I’m standing my ground.
The devil will never keep me bound.

The Lord will keep every promise to me,
The goodness of God I am destined to see.
What I see with my eyes will not move me.
I know in Christ I’ve been set free.

I may be in for a rough scary ride,
I may face a rapidly rising tide,
But in God’s presence I will abide.
I’ll watch Him take me to the other side.

I’ll renew my mind, change the way I think,
The devil may attack, but I will not blink.
To the Lord Jesus Christ I will stay linked.
I’ll walk on water, I will not sink.

I refuse to look at what’s around me,
The lightning, thunder, and stormy seas.
When I resist the devil, he will flee.
I am determined to see sweet victory.

Jesus came into my midnight,
Saying, “My yoke is easy, My burden is light.”
Every one of my battles He said He would fight,
I must walk by faith and not by sight.
